I wanted to make more Bastion text post memes, so here we are.
I have mostly been avoiding talk about Yamcha in the current dragonball super arc because I want to wait and see what happens. But I have a bunch of thoughts gathered so I am all like, why not post them.
I think it’s pretty clear at this point Yamcha is getting some sort of side plot really soon, and I am interested in seeing where that goes. What’s interesting though, that I saw pointed out on reddit, is that most of the episodes with Yamcha in them have been written by the same guy, Toshio Yoshitaka. Apparrently he actually does like the character and he apparently said he want’s Yamcha to save earth.
The characterization and all still feels a bit weird, but it’s kind of a relief that the staff probably doesn’t outright hate the character, and it would be nice to see him do something cool to be all “I told you so“ to the doubters. And between what’s going on now, the baseball episode, the spin-off manga and “super villian yamcha“, he’s getting spotlight in some unusual ways.
